02 – JDeveloper first steps

JDeveloper 12c – First run

Run JDeveloper, after few seconds you will see “Select Role” screen.  At now uncheck “Always prompt for role selection on startup” (You can always change your mind by “Tools->Switch Roles” menu).

Click “OK” and wait for JDeveloper start.

Integrated WebLogic Server – First start

OK. Are you ready for start the server instance? Just go “Run->Start Server Instance”.

If you didn’t create domain earlier You will be asked for choose “Create Domain” parameters:

  •  username and password. Default is weblogic/welcome1 (sometimes weblogic/weblogic1). I (also Oracle) preffer weblogic/welcome1.
  • Listen Address – be sure to set it to “All available Addresses”
  • Listen Ports – leave as defaults if it don’t conflict with other system services. Ports 7101 and 7102 are deafults.

Click OK and wait until the process is completed.

After few minutes JDeveloper WebLogic Integradted Server shoud be configured and ready for work.

Check server running – WebLogic Console

Go default Integrated WebLogic Server: http://127.0.0.1:7101/console

Login as weblogic/welcome1

Good Job your server is running.

For logout click “Log Out” link.

Integrated WebLogic Server – Shutdown

To stop WebLogic Integrated Server just click “Red Stop Button-> IntegratedWebLogicServer”
